March 1st - 31st: Fire Tower Challenge

*STRAVA VIRTUAL CHALLENGE*

For our final month of CFC, we will be climbing to some of the coolest lookouts in our area.

Finishers and fastest times will be announced at the beginning of April, with prizes to follow. All participants who complete the Fire Tower Challenge (all 5 routes) will be eligible to receive a free MRC Fire Tower Challenge prize.

Rules:

  • Participants must be members of the Mountain Running Company Strava club.
  • For a run to be considered eligible for CFC:
    • Activity MUST be done between March 1st and March 31st, 2024.
    • Activity MUST be done on foot. No bike or other mode of transport is allowed.
    • Activity MUST be posted within 24 hours of completion.
    • Title of activity MUST include "MRC CFC".
    • Participants MUST include a picture of themselves at the top of the segment and include it with their activity. NOTE: The segment ends at the end of public access to the fire tower. IF THERE IS A FENCE, THE SEGMENT ENDS AT THE FENCE.

Awards:

  • Fire Tower Challenge Finishers - Participants who complete all 5 of the segments.
    • Finishers will receive a Fire Tower Challenge finisher prize to be picked up at the MRC location of their choice.
  • Fire Tower Challenge Champion - The male and female with the fastest cumulative times on all 5 segments.
  • Segment KOM/QOM - The male and female with the fastest time on each segment.
  • TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARDS AT THE END OF THE MONTH, YOU MUST SEND AN EMAIL TO contact@mountainrunningcompany.com THAT INCLUDES:
    • Strava Name (if different from your name).
    • Your fastest time on each segment, including the date each was run.
    • MRC location where you'd like to pick up your prizes.
